Taiwan is rapidly becoming a super-aged society, where longevity is the new norm. Yet living longer does not always mean living healthier, safer, or happier. As ageing reshapes society, the challenge extends beyond healthcare to the design of work, welfare, and innovation. A more integrated approach is needed to support lifelong learning, social participation, continued contribution, and accessible support across different stages of life. Therefore, an international conference will be held in October to explore Taiwan’s super-aged society from multiple perspectives and to encourage broader dialogue on future responses and possibilities.
